Rick Black

Rick grew up in Huntsville Alabama surrounded by technology as the son of a true Rocket Scientist, Dick Black, during the heart of the Apollo program. He attended Auburn University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Operations Management.

Rick has over 15 years of experience in the swimming pool industry. His first company installed vinyl liner pools, but later he discovered the ease of installation of fiberglass pools and never looked back. Having grown up being exposed to new technology, Rick has always tried to seek out innovative products for his pool installations. He was the first installer in his area to offer Sta-Rite's Modular Media Filters and Carefree Clearwater Ionization Systems. While other companies shy away from new technology, Rick has strived to understand and harness this new innovative products to give his customers the best value.

In 1997, Rick sold his installation business and joined a fiberglass pool manufacturing company to oversee production. In 2000, Rick left that company to start Trilogy with partners Ted and Ray. He holds a Certified Composites Technician (CCT) designation from the American Composites Manufacturing Association (ACMA) and manages Trilogy Pool's Production and transportation.
